Sustainable Shoes for Kids |  Startup Creates Shoes That Dissolves  in Water

A startup that developed baby shoes that dissolve in water

The shoes are made of a water-soluble plastic called polyvinyl alcohol.

It can be manufactured using less energy and water than other textiles,  according to Woolybubs

The company strives for the highest test standard, Oeko-Tex 100

To prove that the dissolved solution is non-toxic and can be safely flushed down the drain.

Woolybubs currently offers three products- the Newbie, Toddle, and Woolybub

While only the Newbie can dissolve, the Toddle and Woolybub are stitched with yarn made from discarded plastic.

All shoes can be returned to the company for recycling. Prices range from $38 to $48.
