Mercedes-Benz Hails With The First Level 3 Automated Driving in The U.S
Mercedes-Benz has announced that it is the first automaker to receive state approval
for Level 3 driving capabilities in the United States.
The company said it has self-certified to use the Driv
e Pilot feature in Nevada.
The car does all the driving, but the driver must always be ready to take control
Mercedes has certified that its technology meets the minimum risk requirements of
the State of Nevada.
This should be able to stop a Level 3 or higher “fully autonomous” vehicle in the event of a malfunction of the system.
